1955 Phantom IV #4CS6 Limousine by Hooper for the Shah of Persia.
4CS6 was ordered by the Shah of Iran, Muhammad Reza II Pahlavi in 1955 and delivered to his palace in Tehran on 11th December 1956. The cost was £ 8,150 exc. a few extras and delivery (a Silver Cloud cost £ 3,385 in 1956). Was it to keep up with the Joneses, but 4CS6 was an almost twin sister to 4BP1, owned by Reza's neighbour, King Saad Faisal II of Iraq. The quickest way to identify 4CS6 is the front bumper - the export model, whereas 4BP1 featured the standard Pyrene Heavy Duty version. Both cars were originally black but 4CS6 was soon repainted in the rich and dark Bordeaux red which you'll be able to appreciate if you ever visit the Tehran National Museum.
